Unmeshan organized an Online International Conference and Virtual exhibition of models on “Cool Ideas for a hot planet” with a special emphasis about Low-Cost Cooling Systems for Homes, which held on 5th June 2026, coinciding with World Environment Day.

The program featured nine talks covering a wide spectrum of themes, including:

• Practical cooling strategies for housing in hot summer conditions
• The underlying physical principles behind these approaches
• Broader discussions on environmental challenges and the causes of an increasingly hotter world

The event brought together a diverse group of contributors and attendees:

• School students
• Engineering students
• Environmentalists working with NGOs
• Academic researchers from multiple disciplines
The talks emphasized affordable and sustainable cooling solutions as urgent priorities in the face of rising global temperatures. Presentations combined scientific insights with community-driven approaches, bridging theory and practice. The diversity of participants enriched the discussions, fostering an inclusive dialogue across age groups and professional backgrounds.
